Moving pages

You can move a page you created to the Index of the current room, to a folder in the current room, or to a location in another room, if you have author privileges in that room. If you are a manager in the place, you can also move a page you created to the table of contents in the current room.

If you are a manager, you can also move pages that other people have created.

If you have author privileges in the place, you can move pages you created to other locations. If you have manager privileges in the place, you can also move pages that other people have created. You can move pages in one of the following ways.

  • Move a page to a folder, index, or table of contents.
  • Move a page that is being edited.


To move pages to the table of contents or Index of the current room, to a folder in the current room, or to another room:

  1. Enter the room that contains the pages you want to move.
  2. To begin working with pages in the Index, click Index; to begin working with pages in a folder, click the title of the folder; to move one page, click Move.
  3. Click Cleanup.
  4. Click the boxes next to the titles of the pages you want to move.
  5. Click Move.
  6. Select the location to which you want to copy the page or pages -- the table of contents, a folder, or the Index -- and then click Next, or select the room to which you want to move the page or pages and then click Next.


Moving a page that's being edited
  1. Enter the room that contains the page you want to move.
  2. In the table of contents, click the title of the page you want to move; or, if the page is in the Index or a folder, click Index or the folder title in the table of contents, and then click the page title.
  3. Click Edit. If you do not have editing rights for the page, this option does not appear on the screen.
  4. Edit the page.
  5. Click Publish As.
  6. Under "How would you like this Page to be published?", make sure Publish is selected, and click Move page.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Under "Where would you like to put this Page," choose a folder title, the table of contents, or the Index.
  9. Click Next.
