Using Pages

Pages are the basic building blocks of a place. A page can contain a combination of text, pictures, and attachments. QuickPlace creates some pages -- for example, the page that gives you instructions for navigating in a place -- automatically. You and other QuickPlace members create the remaining pages in your place.

QuickPlace authors can perform the following page-related tasks:

  • Create basic pages
  • Create calendar pages
  • Edit pages
  • Copy pages
  • Move pages
  • Delete pages
  • Copy, move, and delete multiple pages
  • Add file attachments
  • Insert an image in a page
  • Insert graphic text in a page
  • Create a link in a page you created with the built-in QuickPlace editor
  • Create a link page in the table of contents or in a folder
  • Regulate access to pages
  • Notify members about new and updated pages
  • Save the page in draft form
