Customizing rooms
If you have manager access privileges in the current room, you can
- Change basic room attributes. You can change the room title, add or remove the calendar, hide or redisplay security information for the room, hide or redisplay the Tasks folder, change the order in which the pages appear in the table of contents, or delete the room altogether.
- Decorate the room by changing the look of the table of contents, the pages, and the buttons.
- Create forms for the room by creating fill-in-the-blank areas for people to fill in when they create pages in the room.
- Create rooms within the current room, to allow for the expansion of your place and/or to create areas that are off limits to certain QuickPlace members.
- Import a Domino agent -- called a PlaceBot in QuickPlace -- to automate a task in the current room.
Moving a room
You can move the current room to the table of contents of the top-level room in the place. The top-level room is the room visitors enter when they first enter the place. All the remaining rooms of the place are inside this top-level room.
You can also move the current room to a room below the top level, if you have manager access to that room. For example, if you have a room called Bulletin Board inside a room called VP's Office and you want your employees to have access to Bulletin Board, you could move Bulletin Board inside a room called Employees.
- Enter the room you want to move.
- Click Room Options in the table of contents.
- Click Basics.
- Click Move.
- Click the name of the room into which you want to move the current room, then click Next.
Deleting a room
When you delete a room, QuickPlace deletes all the pages within the room and removes the room title from the table of contents. If a room contains other rooms, you must delete the inner rooms one at a time before you can delete the outer room. For example, if room Products contains room Toys and you want to delete Products, you must first delete room Toys.
- Enter the room you want to delete.
- Click Room Options in the table of contents.
- Click Basics.
- Click Change Basics.
- Click Delete Room.
- Type the word yes in the box.
- Click Delete Room.
