Searching a place
When you want to locate information in your place but you're not sure which page or pages contain the information you need, you can search for the page. You can conduct an advanced search, or search for news. See the following table for a description of each.
| Search type | Description |
| advanced search | You supply QuickPlace with the word or phrase you're looking for and narrow the search to pages created by certain authors and/or pages created before or after a certain date. You can search for folders, rooms, or pages created by certain authors and/or created before or after a certain date, without supplying a word or phrase. You can also broaden your search to include the entire place, or all places of which you are a member. QuickPlace lists only those pages to which you have at least read access. For example, if the place contains two rooms, Room A and Room B, but you can read pages in Room A only, QuickPlace does not include any pages in Room B in the list, even if some pages in Room B contain the word or phrase you're searching for. |
| search for news | All changes made in the place in the last day or week, for example, all the pages that members created or edited that day or week |
